For the past 12 months or more in Nigeria’s music industry, it’s almost like Kiddominant andYoungJohn are the only producers with the secret ingredients for cooking beats that make hits.
In 2017 alone, YoungJonn had a massive influence on many charts topping songs in the industry. Solely responsible for the production ofOlamide’s smashing hit, “Wo“.

YOUNGJOHN

The Wicked producer also contributed majorly to the success of Olamide’s “Lagos Na Wa” album. Outside YBNL, YoungJohn also scored some good production points with songs like “Rora” byLilkesh, “Living Things” by 9ice and many more.

KIDDOMINANT

However, it is not contestable thatKiddominant’s wave of music production efforts shook the industry in 2017. He was able to roll out top-notch beats for many hot songs includingDavido‘ “Fall“, Mayourkun’s “Mama” track to mention a few.
Therefore, it is not surprising how both Kiddominant and YoungJohn appeared to be the favourites to win as the Best Producer of The Year at the just concluded SoundCity MVP awards which had YoungJonn emerged the winner.
The aftermath of the award was not funny between the duo on social media. Kiddominant started it after he posted on Instagram that he’s so dissapointed in Soundcity and then YoungJohn replied him and the beef started proper.
Then Youngjohn replied:-
NUMBER 1… Kill Yourself!!  a serious shot believed to be directed at Kiddominant.
Then Kiddominant wasted no time, read what he shared as a reply to Youngjohn’s jab:-
Lions Don’t Wrestle with pigs was the sharpest response Kiddominant could give in reaction to YoungJohn’s subtle jab.
Anyway, amidst their intense beef, the question is 👇
Are all Award winners really the best in their game? The sincere answer is capital “NO“. We have seen situations where awards are given based on organizers’ interest.
You already know, at Entbaze we don’t support beef and at the same time, we like to give honour to whom honour is due.
So let’s settle this here once among the real music lovers here 👇
