The year 2017 has gradually come to an end and and bet me Nigeria is blessed with many gospel artiste that are moving the christiandom to a other phase and height blessing and touching lives with their musics.

10. MERA 

 Mera came into limelight with hit song "Nanaowei Mbana" which means God thank you in the ijaw dialect, she is a singer and a born worshiper you need to watch-out for. The Bayelsa state born gospel artiste is excelling in her music ministry as God is taking her higher and higher everyday.



 9. LARA GEORGE

Lara George is one of the classiest Nigerian gospel singer/ artist in the world today, this multi-talented, singer, producer and music director has a spell-binding and captivating voice, she was a member of the former KUSH group which was one of the earliest modern Gospel music groups in Nigeria. Lara released her first solo album in 2007 which was titled Ijoba Orun, the single was a hit and it still enjoys a huge support and airplay on radio stations, churches and homes. Lara George biography show that the talented singer was born in Lagos; she is the fourth child of five children. Lara developed passion for music while she was a member of the choir in her Alma mater Queens College,  



 8. JOE PRAIZE 

Joseph Omo Ebhodaghe, popularly known as Joe Praize, is a Nigerian gospel singer, praise and worship leader, songwriter and music director who rose to popularity following the release of his hit song "Mighty God" off his debut album My Praise. The gospel artiste has been blessing and touching lives with his songs worldwide.


7. TIM GODFREY

This is another Nigerian Gospel artiste that is doing well in the gospel music industry known with the hit track Na You Be God in 2016. This year he has released several tracks like So Good, Bless the Lord, in the sanctuary among others. Tim Godfrey is also a music director and has been delivering.
  


6. ADA EHI 

Ada Ogochukwu Ehi popularly known as Ada is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist born and based in Lagos, Nigeria. She started her musical career at the age of 10 as a backup singer for child star, Tosin Jegede. In 2017, she was listed by ynaija alongside Chris Oyakhilome, Biodun Fatoyinbo, Sinach, Enoch Adeboye, Nigeria's current acting President Yemi Osinbajo and a host of others as one of the top 100 influential christian personalities in Nigeria. She is known with popular hit tracks Only You, Testimony.

She won the Groove Awards 2017 West African artist of the Year; being nominated alongside Frank Edwards, Sinach, Joe Praize and the Preachers. She started her music career under Loveworld Records in 2009, and has increasingly gained local and international popularity through her songs and notable quality music videos.



5. EBEN 

Eben has really made it in the gospel music industry with hit tracks like All the way, victory, awesome wonder, all the way. He really deserve to be on the top 10 gospel artiste for 2017.



   
4. FRANK EDWARDS  

With hit tracks like Oghene DOh, Chukwu Ebuka, Mma Mma, I lift my voice, among others Frank Edward is doing exceedingly well in the Gospel music industry as far as we are concerned. HE is set to release another album soon before the end of this year.



3. STEVE CROWN 

Steve Crown is one of Gospel artiste that came into limelight in 2016 with great songs like You are great, we wait on you, awesome God, the Abuja born artiste has touched lives of many through  his hit tracks. Every church in Nigeria and outside Nigeria sings his songs and worship God with them. This year he also released another track titled "All The Glory". Steve crown is worth the 3rd place on the Top gospel artiste for 2017.

Without much doubt we all know SINACH is worth the 2nd top Nigerian gospel singer for the year 2017. She is known as a woman of worship, Her songs have cut across states, nations, borders and internationally has spread beyond. Sinach’s songs are household and worship favorites.
Also signed to LoveWorld Records and a key member of the music team at Christ Embassy, Sinach has become a household name in Nigeria. She has over 200 songs to her credit, including  ‘Awesome God’, ‘Simply Devoted’, ‘I am Ready for Your Spirit’, ‘Shout of the King’, ‘All Things are possible’, ‘Born to Win’, ‘Fire in Me’, ‘More of You’, ‘No Failure with God’, ‘This is Your Season’ and more recently “I Know Who I Am”, “Glory To Your Name”, etc . 1. NATHANIEL BASSEY

And on the number 1 spot this year is Nathaniel Bassey, with hit songs this year "Alagbada Ina", "Abba Father", "Incredible Love", "Halleluya Eh", "Olowogbogboro" among other great songs this year 2017. Mathaniel Bassey is also a worshiper and a saxophonist who  brings the power of God in his songs. He is popularly known with hit songs like book of life, someones knocking, Onishe Iyanu,this  good is good.
